Everyone who knows me knows that I like to keep busy. After feeling under the weather over the weekend I'm glad to be feeling a lot better today, because I have a lot to do! Sore throat is gone, now if only my nose wouldn't run so much. I miss my running... tomorrow I'm going to run, no matter what!
School is going great, I've definitely got a better game plan for this semester than the last. Eventually I will get my degree. Luckily I'm only just getting my basics out of the way, I say this because I keep getting random thoughts of doing other things. For example, I'm taking Nutrition this semester... and I LOVE IT!!! It in a way makes me want to do something with that, but I would love to target younger children. This may be due to my increase in physical fitness and making healthier choices in my every day life. I still want to be an elementary teacher... but I love the idea of teaching children and young adults on how to live healthier... have you seen the obesity rates? GEEZE!
Anne and I (meaning me) wanted to get out of the house for a little bit today. We walked around Walmart (which I actually needed envelopes) and enjoyed each other's company. She was very talkative... and then I had a thought. I spend so much time on Pinterest... and I see all these cool crafts that allows babies/toddlers to use their senses. And so this resulted in me spending an extra $5 on a poster board and finger paint....
They were in these squeeze tubes... so I gently squeezed and drew a heart, a star, an "A", and a few random lines.... all while she tried to pick up the paint between her fingers, and drug her hand across the paint piles. I think I had more fun than she did... then it was time for a bath.
Speaking of bath! She was grumpy, I wanted to take a bath... so we took a bath. I told her not to poop while mommy was in the tub.... I get out to dry off and let her splash around and not a minute passes and she poops in the tub. I took a picture, but I'm sure you can imagine what a baby looks like in a tub with a little poop pile not far behind them. But the facial expression on her face! It was one of those "But I waited till you got out, aren't I cute?"
Baby girl is in bed, Sir Lancelot is at an intramural basketball game.... and now I've got some more school work that needs to get done today.

What a great photo - I love that you let our babe get all messy with the paint - how awesome is that? I hope you are continuing to feel better!
ReplyDeleteIt was way fun. I'm feeling much better.
DeleteMy god. That face is to much for me. She's so pensive.
ReplyDeleteHaha, right?
DeleteI hope you got your run in! Taking the basics is a good time to really evaluate what you want to do. However, I changed my major so many times I think my counselor had whiplash. Poor thing!
ReplyDeleteLove the drawing pics! You are so much braver than me though. Finger painting will not be going on in my house. :-)
I never did :( but I did another form of exercise.
DeleteI wish I had the guts to just get out the paint and say go for it. lol . Great photo!
ReplyDeleteYou could always do outside too, if you are worried about the possible mess.
DeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and commenting yesterday, I hopped on over here to yours and lets say you had me at "baby with stuffed r2d2" so naturally I'll be following along via google plus! Love the giant finger painting mess!
ReplyDeleteI loved your blog and will be checking back regularly! Thanks for hopping over! :) I had to get that for her for Christmas, it was only natural.
